2013 – 2016

The Product Design programme combines creativity, engineering, and user-centered design to develop products that are functional, manufacturable, and aesthetically refined. The curriculum covers the complete product development process, including design methodology, 3D modeling, materials, manufacturing technologies, ergonomics, prototyping, and design for production.

2015 Fall term

The programme at Lund University School of Industrial Design emphasized experimental and research-driven design within an international and collaborative environment. It encouraged critical thinking, exploration of design methodologies and a broader understanding of design’s role in society, while developing practical skills in concept development and product design.

2000 – 2005

The programme focused on information system administration, with a strong emphasis on the operation, maintenance and management of IT systems. It provided practical and theoretical knowledge of databases, computer networks, system administration and web technologies. While the programme included some exposure to software development, the primary focus was on ensuring the stability, functionality and administration of modern IT systems.

2025 July – Present

As a member of the design team, I contribute to the development, improvement and optimization of products throughout the entire product development process. My responsibilities include concept development and 3D modeling, prototype development, preparation of technical drawings and manufacturing specifications, as well as providing technical support to production.

2016 September – Present

Providing bespoke furniture and interior design solutions by identifying client needs and developing functional, aesthetically refined and technically feasible concepts. My work includes concept development, 3D modeling and visualization, preparation of technical drawings and manufacturing documentation, cost estimation and coordinating the complete project lifecycle – from design and production to assembly and on-site installation.

March 2017 – July 2020

Co-founded a craft brewery and contributed to the company’s development from the initial concept to an operational production facility. In collaboration with a graphic designer, I co-developed the company’s concept, story and brand direction. My responsibilities included planning and building the production facilities, preparing regulatory documentation, designing and developing the company website, creating marketing materials and 3D visualizations, managing social media and implementing the established visual identity across digital and promotional media.

June 2012 – February 2018

Founded and managed a custom furniture and interior design company. Responsibilities included identifying client needs, developing visual and technical solutions, creating 3D models and visualizations, preparing technical drawings and quotations and coordinating projects from concept to completion.

April 2015 – May 2016

Elected member of the Student Council, representing students in academic and institutional matters. Contributed to improving the study environment, participated in the Academic Council, organized student events and worked closely with students, faculty members and the Academy’s administration.

December 2011 – April 2013

Progressed from Software Developer to an IT coordination role, acting as the primary link between business units and the IT development team. My responsibilities included gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating them into technical specifications and development tasks, coordinating priorities and supporting communication throughout the software development process. I worked closely with both business teams and developers to ensure that technical solutions met business objectives, while also contributing to system design discussions and the development of business logic.

August 2008 – November 2011

Contributed to the development of web-based business applications within a cross-functional IT team.
Initially focused on frontend development, later expanding responsibilities to full-stack development, including backend logic in collaboration with system architects.

October 2007 – August 2008

Contributed to the development of a web-based customer management system. My responsibilities included analyzing client requirements, developing new functionality and implementing software solutions to support customer data management, reporting, and business processes. I collaborated with the system architect on the ongoing development of the platform using PHP, HTML, CSS and MySQL.

February 2005 – May 2005

Completed an internship focused on gaining practical insight into the development and operation of public sector information systems. During the internship, I assisted with various technical tasks while conducting research and collecting material for my diploma thesis. The knowledge and experience gained formed the basis of my thesis on public information systems.

October 2002 – August 2007

During a break from formal education, I gained practical experience in several technical fields while completing my studies at the Estonian Information Technology College, graduating in 2005. I worked in furniture manufacturing, where I developed practical woodworking skills, including painting, staining and varnishing. During the same period, I also completed small programming projects and built custom furniture, broadening my technical knowledge and practical experience.
