The Product Design programme combines creativity, engineering, and user-centered design to develop products that are functional, manufacturable, and aesthetically refined. The curriculum covers the complete product development process, including design methodology, 3D modeling, materials, manufacturing technologies, ergonomics, prototyping, and design for production.

2015 Fall term

The programme at Lund University School of Industrial Design emphasized experimental and research-driven design within an international and collaborative environment. It encouraged critical thinking, exploration of design methodologies and a broader understanding of design’s role in society, while developing practical skills in concept development and product design.

2000 – 2005

The Estonian Information Technology College, Estonia. Diploma, IT Systems Administration.

The programme focused on information system administration, with a strong emphasis on the operation, maintenance and management of IT systems. It provided practical and theoretical knowledge of databases, computer networks, system administration and web technologies. While the programme included some exposure to software development, the primary focus was on ensuring the stability, functionality and administration of modern IT systems.

My responsibilities include concept development and 3D modeling, prototype development, preparation of technical drawings and manufacturing specifications, as well as providing technical support to production.

My work includes concept development, 3D modeling and visualization, preparation of technical drawings and manufacturing documentation, cost estimation and coordinating the complete project lifecycle – from design and production to assembly and on-site installation.

Co-founded a craft brewery and contributed to the company’s development from the initial concept to an operational production facility. In collaboration with a graphic designer, I co-developed the company’s concept, story and brand direction. My responsibilities included planning and building the production facilities, preparing regulatory documentation, designing and developing the company website, creating marketing materials and 3D visualizations, managing social media and implementing the established visual identity across digital and promotional media.

During the internship, I assisted with various technical tasks while conducting research and collecting material for my diploma thesis. The knowledge and experience gained formed the basis of my thesis on public information systems.

During a break from formal education, I gained practical experience in several technical fields while completing my studies at the Estonian Information Technology College, graduating in 2005. I worked in furniture manufacturing, where I developed practical woodworking skills, including painting, staining and varnishing. During the same period, I also completed small programming projects and built custom furniture, broadening my technical knowledge and practical experience.
